Coller Institute of Private Equity/LBS: Catalyzing Systemic Change: The Role of Venture Philanthropy

The purpose of this research is to determine the role venture philanthropy can play in achieving systemic change in pressing social issues. It has been sponsored by the Coller Institute of Private Equity at London Business School, with cooperation from Impetus Trust, New Profit Inc., One Foundation and Social Ventures Australia (SVA).

The two key questions this paper attempts to answer are:

  • What is systemic change?
  • What is the role of venture philanthropy in catalyzing systemic change?
