Director of Philanthropy and
Partnerships
The role of Director of Philanthropy and
Partnerships has been created to position Impetus Trust as a
premier player in the major giving market, which includes
individuals, corporations, trusts and foundations and government.
Working with the Chief Executive and Trustees, the post-holder will
lead on all aspects of fundraising, maintaining high level
relationships with donors and prospective donors and maximising
opportunities to secure new sources of income from individuals,
companies and charitable trusts. It is a new and important role for
Impetus, created to enable the organisation to engage with major
givers in a compelling way to ensure significant and sustained
growth in income in the next few years.

Portfolio Director
Impetus is scaling up its activities. With a successful track
record of social impact, we want to achieve even greater
impact. We intend to triple the active charity portfolio in
the next three years and we are putting in place a public policy
platform which will enable us to 'speak up' on behalf of the
charities in our portfolio for greater change. For
that, we will also need to step up our income generation
efforts.
The Portfolio Director is a key position in this context, as this
individual will actively oversee the portfolio of existing and the
'alumni' charities (which are individually managed by the
investment team this person will supervise), as well as social
impact. The Portfolio Director will also be key in
supporting the Chief Executive in forming new strategic
partnerships, which are a bedrock to the Impetus model.
