Impetus Trust

Family Links works to improve emotional well-being and parent/child relationships through its Nurturing Programme. The programme provides simple, effective tools to help adults and children understand and manage feelings and behaviour. It is also an effective vehicle for change in vulnerable families.

Impetus support package:

Impetus investment period: 2012 - 2013 (Plan phase investment*)
Plan phase grant funding approved: £50k
Pro bono services donated: £239k
Investment management value: £88k
Total funding package to date: £377k

* Plan phase investment is an initial investment period to develop the plan for growth. It is usually followed by further investment over a longer period.

Background to the investment:

Impetus is investing in Family Links initially for 12 - 18 months with a view to making a longer-term investment at the end of the planning process.

The charity is expected to receive up to £400k in strategic funding during the total length of the Impetus investment, and at least the equivalent of that amount in pro bono expertise, management support and additional funds raised.

The objective of the investment is to support the development of a three-year business plan for the organisation.
