Friends of Impetus Dinner - June 2007
Our Friends Dinner, held in June 2007, was a resounding success. Over 80 people attended, comprising both our present supporters and many interested parties. Speeches were made by Wol Kolade, Managing Partner of ISIS Private Equity and Chairman of the BVCA (The British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association), Jenny Rogers, CEO of our portfolio charity Leap Confronting Conflict and Daniela Barone Soares. These speeches highlighted the significant impact that Impetus has achieved since our first investment four years ago. In the words of Mr Kolade, “As investors, we like to know our money’s really working for us, that it’s going to deliver the best possible results. And that’s what Impetus achieves for its donors, except that the return is social and not financial. It’s transforming lives, and that’s probably the best return you can get on any kind of investment.”
The dinner was also an opportunity to launch our Impact Report, which received extremely positive feedback. |
