Impetus Trust

Your money can make a vital difference to the work Impetus is doing with the charities and social enterprises in our portfolio.

Impetus welcomes gifts of all sizes.  There are a number of different options for giving to Impetus, including:

1. Impetus fund
Your donation will be used to significantly increase the impact of our innovative and ambitious portfolio charities, which are providing long-term solutions for the poorest 20% of the UK's population.  Many of our donors choose to give over a number of years, but you can also give a one-off donation.  As examples of giving:

  • A pledge of £150,000 (typically given over a three-year period) will enable us to make a long-term commitment to a new charity
  • £50,000 will fund a scale-up plan for a charity.

Read about how you can give to Impetus, or contact us to discuss giving options in more detail.

2. Managed fund
If you would like to donate to a particular area of economic disadvantage, we offer a managed fund approach. Currently we have two such funds: the Impetus for Reducing Re-offending Initiative and the Impetus for London Initiative.   If you are interested in a different area, please contact us to discuss how we could work together on a new fund.

3. Bespoke solutions / foundations
For upwards of £2 million, we can develop bespoke solutions or foundations, whereby you provide us with your investment criteria, we find matching charities and then manage the investments in those charities.  Please contact us to discuss this option in more detail.

Quotation marks

People often have a negative concept of what management consultants do - so it was lovely to be told [by the Impetus charity]: "I wasn't expecting you to be so helpful!"
