ISIS Investment Director James Titmuss worked with Impetus portfolio charity Street League in the summer of 2008 to research new markets.
Street
League works with disadvantaged young people and adults in the
UK using the power of sport through
a structured football and education programme that helps build
confidence, improve health, extend social networks, and develop
skills towards long-term education, employment and
independence. It currently operates in London, Glasgow,
the North East and Manchester.

James (pictured left) carried out some research on the market in
Glasgow for Street League's services and he did an analysis of
football in the community programmes run by the football clubs in
the area.
His work highlighted the differentiated offering of Street League and this helped support a successful application for investment from Inspiring Scotland.
James said about his work: "We were able to take advantage of some of the skills we normally use in assessing investment opportunities to demonstrate Street League's differentiated offering in engaging with young adults through football. It was particularly pleasing that this helped to support a successful grant application that will enable them to further expand their services into Glasgow."
