Over 150 individuals and 15 companies contribute their, or their employees' skills to specific capacity-building projects for Impetus charities and social enterprises. This expertise is a key part of our venture philanthropy model, and helps our portfolio organisations to become even more effective, so they can help many more people.
Length of projects
This will depend on the project and the availability of the pro
bono expert(s) and key staff at the charity. Some projects
require a commitment of two days a month for six months, and others
of two weeks full-time. The timeframe will be agreed
upon before the project begins.
Project planning and management
Each project is carefully planned, with the project brief agreed
by the corporate partner/individual specialist, charity and Impetus
before work begins. Clear objectives are defined, along with
a timeframe. An Impetus Investment Executive manages each project,
ensuring at all times that the expert(s) has access to the material
and people they require.
Pro bono experts' professional
experience
The majority of Impetus pro bono experts have over 10 years'
experience in their area of expertise, and many have over 15' years
experience.
Pro bono experts' backgrounds
