Important information about our decision-making
process
We aim to respond to applications within two months. If you have
not heard from us, please do not contact us before this time.
If the organisation fits our criteria and we believe that it could benefit from our support, we will invite the Chief Executive and Chair for a meeting. It will take a minimum of four months from that meeting for an investment to be agreed.
The decision-making process will include meetings with the trustees and management, as well as site visits and analysis of the organisation's financial data. We carry out this due diligence to ensure long-term success in the partnership. If we decide not to form a partnership, we hope that the organisation still finds that it has benefited substantially from the process. We would like to stress that, throughout this process, the decision to proceed is as much for the organisation as for us. Our approach is not right for everyone and the organisation should only proceed if it is convinced that it needs the full Impetus venture philanthropy package.
