• How long the charity has been running?
• What do you see as the charity’s unique positioning in your sector?
• What is the charity’s annual income?
• What have been the charity’s main achievements over the past five years? (eg income generation; social impact, etc)
• What are the charity’s aims and goals for the next 3-5 years?
• Why is the charity applying for Impetus investment?
• How did you hear about Impetus?

Your application must also include:
- a copy of your current strategic/business plan
- the charity’s latest audited accounts
- a summary of the charity’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats

We will consider the information provided and respond within a month. If you fit our criteria and we believe that your charity could become one of those we hope to work with, we will invite your Chief Executive and Chair for a meeting with us. It will take a minimum of four months from that meeting for an investment to be agreed.

The decision-making process will include meetings with your trustees and management as well as site visits and analysis of your financial data. We carry out this due diligence to ensure long-term success in our partnership with you. If we decide not to form a partnership with you, we hope that you still find that you have benefited substantially from the process. We would like to stress that, throughout this process, the decision to proceed is as much for you as for us. Our approach is not right for everyone and you should only proceed if you are convinced that you need this full venture philanthropy package.
