With the use of co-investment, our network of pro-bono experts and corporate partners, we have generated a total of £6.50 in value for every £1 of cash donated to Impetus for the past two years, far exceeding our target of £3.

Our management team has a strong track record in both the private and not-for-profit sectors. They are committed wholeheartedly to creating greater social impact. Our pro-bono experts are also senior professionals. Their motivation is to utilise their business acumen to achieve good in society.

All our charities agree clear targets with us, within a suitable evaluation framework. Progress is tracked regularly over the course of our investment. Each month we meet with the CEOs of every one of our charities to track progress as well as provide strategic and operational support to ensure that all agreed targets are met. Through the support of our pro-bono experts, our corporate partners and our management team, our portfolio charities are strengthened over time and their ability to deliver is increased. This ensures that the impact of our work lasts beyond the period of our involvement.

Charities that have been in our portfolio for at least a year have grown their income by 20% a year (against 4%* for the sector) and their social impact (number of people benefiting from their programmes) by 53% a year.
