Since 2022, Ares Charitable Foundation has been funding Impetus’ ground-breaking Youth Jobs Gap, a research series investigating the links between education and employment outcomes.
The research series has revealed findings with important implications for delivery organisations, funders and policymakers.
Impetus supported Orbit Partners to build a bespoke paid work experience programme to give young people supported by our portfolio partners a real feel of the workplace.
Work experience bridges the gap between education and the world of work, providing valuable insights and building connections for young people who don't have ready access to networks in aspirational workplaces.
Inflexion continue to make the most of our events programme, including their sterling support of our annual Triathlon; networking with emerging leaders at our Futures Summer Party; and getting under the bonnet of Impetus at our quarterly Philanthropy Breakfasts.

Impetus gives unrestricted grants because it’s the most vital type of income for any organisation, allowing it to grow, learn and deliver on its mission. This type of funding enables us to deliver our unique model and build sector-leading organisations.
Our corporate partners all share this commitment to trust-based philanthropy. Some choose to back our work tackling a specific issue or with a selection of non-profits.

Partner with us in this way and you’re funding our transformational work across education and employment, as well as the research and influencing work that is driving system change for even more young people.

Partner with us on a particular issue facing young people, backing our work with a cohort of exceptional non-profits and providing the sustained support needed to drive systemic change. Our Funds enable us to leverage our collective strengths for greater impact.
Our Fund partnerships start at £100k per year with a minimum commitment of three years. Impetus currently has four ring-fenced funds:
Choose from our portfolio of exceptional non-profits - which have all undergone our sophisticated due diligence process - and back them directly alongside Impetus. Select based on different criteria – such as geography, target population, or type of intervention – and get to know different organisations in the Impetus portfolio.
We manage co-investment partnerships by working closely with you and your chosen organisations, providing detailed reporting, opportunities to engage directly with their work, and the confidence that you are backing the best.
These partnerships tend to be higher-value and more strategic, starting at around £300k per year. We launched our first co-investment partnerships in 2019.
