New trustees Christian Arnaud

Christian Lucas of Silver Lake and Arnaud Bosquet of Apax will join the Impetus Board of Trustees today. Bringing with them extensive experience in global private equity and investment, the new trustees will provide expertise that is vital to Impetus’s work.

Our Interim CEO Sebastien Ergas commented,

The Board of Trustees is an integral part of Impetus as an organisation. Coming from impressive careers spanning private equity, business, the third sector, and academia, our trustees generously offer their time and resources and help us transform the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. We are so excited to welcome Arnaud and Christian to our Board and to learn from their expertise.

Lucas, a Managing Partner of Silver Lake, contributes insights from his two decades of experience in global technology investing, working across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Bosquet is a Partner at Apax – one of Impetus's founding members – and brings a wealth of knowledge from the private equity space, with a particular focus on investments in healthcare.

Reflecting on their appointments, Lucas and Bosquet both expressed strong desire to contribute to Impetus’s mission.

Lucas said,

I believe that contributing to helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds stand a better chance at school, university, or for their first job, is a truly important mission. By identifying and actively championing organizations that help those who are growing up in challenging circumstances to reach their full potential, Impetus plays a significant role in building a more equitable future. I’m honoured to have joined Impetus as a trustee and be part of their meaningful work.

Bosquet said,

Education is the most valuable foundation one can get in life. It empowers, liberates and inspires. It helps combat inequalities. This is why Impetus’s action towards young people from disadvantaged backgrounds is so critical and motivating.

About Impetus

Impetus transforms the lives of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, by ensuring they get the right support to succeed in school, work, and life. We find, fund, and build the most promising organisations working with these young people, providing core funding and working shoulder-to-shoulder with their leaders to help them become stronger organisations. In partnership with other funders, we help them expand, and we work to influence policy and decision-makers so that young people get the support they need.
